There is not a lot of land for sale in Salt Lake City. However, during the real estate boom, there was lots of land development in the outlying areas of Salt Lake County. Land values skyrocketed. Since about 2007, land sales, and prices have gone way down. Demand for lots just hasn’t been there and it has been very hard to get financing for land.
